Let me start with a diddy by T.I.-
Hey, never mind what haters say, ignore them 'til they fade away
It ain't that black and white, it has an area that's shaded gray
I'm west side anyway, even if I left today and stayed away
Some move away to make a way not move away cause they afraid
I pray for patience but they make me wanna melt their face away
I'm the opposite of moderate, immaculately polished with
The spirit of a hustler and the swagger of a college kid
Allergic to the counterfeit, impartial to the politics
Articulate but still would grab a nigga by the collar quick
The hootin' and the hollerin', back and forth with the arguing
Where you from, who you know, what you make and what kind of car you in
Seems as though you lost sight of what’s important with the positive
And checks until your bank account and you up out of poverty
Your values is a disarray, prioritizing horribly
Unhappy with your riches cause you're piss poor morally
Ignoring all prior advice and forewarning
And we mighty full of ourselves all of a sudden aren't we?

I had a fun and very relaxing trip in Seattle that revolved around sitting on my ass, going to baseball games, and re-exploring the city that I fell in love with a decade ago. They also have a high hot girl ratio, so that's always a nice benefit. I gained a few pounds after eating three full sized meals, and while this would usually make me freak out about the weight gain, I don't care. That feels great; the fact that I know I'll lose it within two weeks makes eating like crazy on vacation extra special.
News and Notes
- I saw Terminator Salvation. It's a good action movie, but after re-watching the first three I realized it's worst of them all. The first two are classics, and even the third one was a well done summer blockbuster that still had a good story and humor that were trademarks of the franchise. I shouldn't have expected Salvation to be good, but with a $200 million budget I expected better acting and characters and a story I could actually care about. I know I know, I'm nitpicking. But that's what I do. When you want to be a writer and work in the industry you have to separate the good from the entertainingly crappy. Still, I like futuristic warfare and explosions so I still had a good time watching it.
- Homeless people in Seattle are accepted and aren't harassed as much as they are in most parts of the country. I like that. Yay for social reform! I hope we have more programs to help people live a decent life.
- Death to John and Kate Plus Eight! Pull our troops out of the Middle East and launch an offensive on awful television, that unfortunately, appeals to millions of people.
- Rename debit cards to "credit chips".
- I'm happy for Susan Boyle, but can we try and fix her appearance? She's pug fugly, and we can do better, damnit.
