Who Am I? Part Two

This post is dedicated to my positive attributes (at least how I see them). Opposite of my negative sub-personalities, the positive ones will be getting more airtime from now on. By finding them out and accepting who they are, I hope to be a better person in someway. Oh, and the songs are just quick examples I thought of just now. There are better ones I'm sure, but it's not that important.

The Journalist

Who is He?: The Journalist represents my creative side. Not only does he push me to write and do things that I enjoy, but The Journalist is also the investigative side of my personality. He tells me to ask the questions and tries to understand why something is and if there's a better way of doing it.

The Rogue

Who Is He?: Think of Han Solo. He's a good person, but he's a rough side to him. Not afraid to take chances, and really enjoys challenges. This is a very rare side of me, but we might be seeing more of him.

The Romantic

Who Is He?: Good question. I know for fact he's there, but I've denied him for so long that I don't know him that well. The good thing, however, is that by cutting down on the negative self-take I'll be able to focus my on energy on better things; and The Romantic will be getting more attention. I know I can be as "cool" as anyone else.

Mr. Positive

Who Is He?: (I couldn't think of a better name for him) Mr. Positive is the sum of all my positive parts: He's nice, tries to be a good person, and looks at the good things on in life. He sets realistic goals and isn't upset if they aren't met; he just keeps trying until it works out. The Critic despises Mr. Positive, but that doesn't bring him down. Hopefully Mr. Positive will take control of the table and lead everyone. My favorite sub-personality.

Song representation: Josie by Blink 182 and Dreams by The Cranberries

Wise Old Man

Who Is He?: This is the sub-personality who is filled with wisdom and has all his stuff together. He isn't phased and rarely talks. I use him for guidance when I'm unsure of what I should do. Never steers me wrong; it's just a matter of listening when he speaks.

Song representation: Am180 by Grandaddy

There are other sub-personalities that I'm not fully aware of yet, but this is a good start. The key as I see it, is to let these guys speak more then the negatives ones. Sounds simple, but it's been a challenge so far for me in life. However, there's always hope and I'm looking on the bright side as much as possible.

"I know that everything, know that everything, know that everything, everythings gonna' be fine".
